A. We are directly across the street from campus so it's only a couple minutes
away.

There are only 4 girls per townhouse

Hillcrest townhouses consist of nine separate buildings with four units in each
building. Each one is townhouse style with a spacious living room and kitchen downstairs,
bath areas and three bedrooms upstairs, and a cozy fireplace.

There are no other units above or below the townhouse, thus eliminating annoyances
of thoughtless students making noise late at night or early in the morning.

Each townhouse has only two common walls with the other townhouses - the bathroom
and the kitchen. The bedrooms are quiet.

Each townhouse feels like home: beautiful lawns, trees, and shrubs surround the
buildings. This is perfect for meeting and seeing friends.
- The lounge area and laundry room are in the center building and convenient to all.
Q. Who manages Hillcrest?
A. Hillcrest is managed by Chris and Tammy Herker.
Q. Can my daughter request her roommate?
A. Yes, we love to accommodate our tenants. It do fill requests on a first come
first served basis according to availability in the townhouse, so don't delay
Q. What extras, other than clothes, should my daughter bring?
A. Dishes, silverware, and utensils. Bathroom linens: towels, washcloths, etc. Bedding:
sheets, pillow, blankets, and spread. Hillcrest provides a mattress pad.
Q. What extras are furnished with the townhouse?
A. All townhouses are completely furnished with beds, desks, tables, sofas,
lamps and chairs. In addition, we provide a microwave and vacuum.
Q. Will my daughter have privacy when her roommates have boys in
the townhouse? A. Yes, the BYU-Idaho Honor Code does not allow boys in the
girls' bedrooms. Unlike other apartment complexes, we feel Hillcrest is special.
All bedrooms and bath areas are upstairs. The staircase becomes a "natural barrier"
- NO boys upstairs. Your daughter will feel comfortable at all times with the privacy
she deserves. There is a bathroom in the lounge for male visitors.
Q. Are there other study alternatives besides my daughter's townhouse
at Hillcrest?
A. Yes, The computer room is upstairs next to the manager's townhouse, and the study
area is downstairs in the lower lounge. Because we are so close to campus,
the library is always an option too.
Q. Where can my daughter store her skis, boots and luggage?
A. Hillcrest has a storage room for large items such as trunks, luggage and skis.
It is locked at all times. They may sign up for storage spaces with the manager.
The managers will have keys, as well as your assigned RA's (resident assistant).
Q. Can my daughter practice the piano?
A. Yes, Hillcrest has a piano practice room in the center building near the lounge.
Q. Is there parking for my daughter's car?
A. Yes, Hillcrest has ample parking. There is a large parking area along the south
and east borders of the complex.
Q. What recreation activities are nearby?
A. Hillcrest is just across the street from the college tennis courts. Tennants
are welcome to reserve the lounge with the big screen, VHS and DVD player.
The student center has a cafeteria, an indoor track, basketball courts, a pool,
several volleyball courts, a bowling alley, a theater and a game room with pool,
ping-pong and video games .
Q. Where can my daughter do her laundry?
A. Hillcrest has a clean, spacious laundry room with coin operated washers and
dryers, folding tables and ironing boards. It is next to the lounge so she can study
or watch TV while doing laundry.
Q. Where does my daughter attend church?
A. Hillcrest is grouped into one ward. The ward meets on campus and consists of
men from other complexes.
Q. Where can my daughter buy groceries?
A. Rexburg has many grocery stores, two of which deliver the food right to the door
of her townhouse. Albertson's is also located on the same street.
Q. Where can my daughter shop?
A. BYU-Idaho has a student center with most necessary sundries. She can also walk
or take the bus to downtown, K-Mart, Wal-Mart and numerous fast food restaurants.
K-Mart and Wal-Mart are also straight down the same street
Q. Who makes repairs to the townhouse?<
A. Hillcrest's manager, Chris Herker, is the resident maintenance man. He is interested
in the appearance and maintaining the condition of the apartments. Your daughter
needs only to fill out a maintenance request form online or call the office. We
all take great pride in keeping Hillcrest Apartments in good repair.
Q. Can my daughter stay at Hillcrest Apartments during the summer?
A. Yes, Hillcrest rents to students for summer sessions. One of our many great
facets is that we offer contracts for all options of the BYU-Idaho track system.
As a bonus, we offer half off summer with a year contract!
Q. Can my daughter leave items during the summer if she is going
home and returning the next fall?
A. Yes, Hillcrest provides free storage for returning students. They may be stored
while the student is off track, (not just in the summer). Boxes and items
are stored in our locked storage room.
Q. Can my daughter arrive before her contract begins?
A. Yes, if your daughter needs to arrive before the contract date we will make every
effort to check her in. Please notify us in advance. The charge is $15.00 per night.
Q. What is a Resident Assistant?
A. Hillcrest has a Resident Assistant (RA) for each townhouse who assists the
managers. She helps with nightly townhouse checks and clean checks, as well as minor
problems. She is always available for "girl talk", as well as anything else
you might need.
Q. How can my daughter get to Rexburg if she flies in to Idaho Falls
or Salt Lake City, UT.?
A. There are several bus companies that make daily trips from both airports,
including SLASH and Trailways Express. Check out the Yellow Pages for more information.
Q. When can my daughter move in to her townhouse?
A. The first day on her contract is the check in day.
It is from 10am-6pm. She can check in on any day of the week following during office
hours. There is no Sunday check in.
Q. When are office hours?
A. Monday-Thursday 12pm-4pm. You can also call and leave a message and
Tammy will call you back at her earliest convenience.
Q. Can my daughter make monthly payments?
A. Yes, we have schedules accomadating both monthly and semesterly payments.
There is a $25 processing fee for each monthly payment.

done?
A. Hillcrest has a new hair and nail salon available to our tenants
located at La Jolla apartments just above the La Jolla lounge on the 3rd floor.

or haircut.
